Guarding team fought with Rinji's group. However, Rinji left his 3 teammates and went over to the sealing team's location. Lee, TenTen and Kiba defeated the three enemies quickly and without too much difficulties.
On the other hand , Crystal Counter Team fought against Guren and Gozu (the big guy). Sai fought Gozu one on one. Naruto and Kakashi fought Guren while Shino prepares his crystal-immune insects. After his preparation, Shino attacked Guren. Guren was helpless against Shino's insects and so she released a massive amount of chakra and locked herself inside her crystal which has the ability to mend automatically. Shino and Kakashi attacked this self-mending crystal and almost went inside her crystal but Gozu arrived just in time. Gozu blocked Kakashi's raikiri using his mud-covered body and threw Guren away from the battle area. Gozu died from Kakashi's raikiri.
Tobi and Deidara had a small fight and walked separately. While on his own. Tobi found the sealing team and decided to sit back and watch.
After defeating three enemies, Guarding Team separated into two groups. Lee and TenTen will have to protect the Sealing Team while Yamato and Kiba will support Crytsal Counter Team.
The sealing team has located the three-tailed beast and switched from search mode to sealing mode. Rinji almost disrupted the sealing team but Lee arrived in time to stop him.
