werk werk work

This week has been pretty busy. The deadline for the What project is fast approaching, so we are all at work trying to get everything ready for it. Sash has started animating the final thing on flash and I am in charge of sorting the sounds and what not out. We have decided to use a bit of music on the title and end credits, so I have roped in my friend who plays the Accordion to help us out. Hopefully we will be able to get some music recorded on Tuesday, which should be fun. I am going to record the other sounds tomorrow with the help of Em. I have started doing a lot more work on Derek's animal firm project, and I will upload the scans of the initial character drawings I have done as soon as I scan them. I am still quite excited about my idea, but I am finding it hard to come up with a good character design and style. This is something I am going to have to work on....       

I did neglect Kathy's brief a bit this week, and I didn't do as many drawings as I had hoped. Here are the ones I did do -

I don't like this. I screwed the tree up by being too eager and not waiting for the watercolour wash to dry before doing the tree, so it all went rubbish.

I quite like the last two drawings. I tried to loosen up the style on the second one a bit and use pencil which I don't normally do, and I think it looks quite nice.
Anyway, enough chatter, I have lots of character designs to photoshop!!
