Today I have finally started work on Derek's brief - Animal Firm. I brainstormed my idea with some friends and we came up with two rival gangs of ghetto animal drug dealers. There will be a group of "Dawgs" who deal "cake" (I hope the pun is really obvious!) This dogs will have a group of cats as rivals. The cats are dealers too and they deal "Purr Purr" and Cat nip. I have thought of several gags involving some disgruntled peacocks who find hair in their cake, a dog who looks really fluffy and cute but is actually a mentalist and a final epic battle in which the animals fight using kitchen utensils (cookie cutters as death stars, flour bombs and electric whisks as guns) but are unaware that its bonfire night, so when they are trying to kill each other massive explosions will happen which shocks them all and they turn back into their domesticated counterparts and hide under tables etc. I have done a few sketches and stuff -
I was also going to upload some of my sketchbook work from Kathy's brief but as they are all double A4 sketches, I will have to scan them in on the scanner in the studio, which I will do at some point later.
