A couple of weeks in now and things are really taking off. Have started doing sketch book work for Kathy's Background project which is due in in 2 weeks. I have to admit its not as inspiring as the last drawing project which I really enjoyed. We have to create 3 different backgrounds, exterior and interior and we have to do some in certain colour ways (monochromatic amongst others).
Yesterday I had my Live@5 day which was an all together interesting experience. We were the first group up, so our after effects knowledge was...limited. Having said that we managed to pull together and create a pretty rad weather map, Aston and logo. Unfortunately time got the better of us and we ran out of time, so the map wasn't fully animated. We have agreed to try and get it sorted by the end of the week, along with a sports table and an animated Aston and Title sequence.
We have also started learning how to model using Maya, which just as frustrating as using it to animate! Its all very mathematical, which makes me want to implode sometimes! Having said that, I have managed to model a plate with a cherry cupcake on, which was a good feeling. Maya will constantly be the bane of my Animating life, it is so frustrating to use but when I finish something its a really good feeling.
History and Theory has finished now, we have a MASSIVE essay to hand in, in two weeks which is daunting. I haven't written an essay in a good couple of years now, so this is sure to be a wholly annoying and frustrating experience!
