The walk cycle

Last week we started work on the walk cycle in 2D and walking in CG. I didn't realise just how much is involved in a walk! Anyway, here are some new videos to tickle your fancy. I managed to upload the pixillation videos as well from a few weeks ago as well.

My CG walk in Maya was a lot more successful than my 2D attempt, but both need a lot of work! I really messed up the arms on my 2D stick model. I think it was due to the fact that I was using a stick man which got really confusing when I was trying to figure out the arms. The timing on the CG version is out but I think its better!

These are the two short pixillation videos I did with some other guys from the class. I think they work pretty well. The first video of the ballet shoes and Russian dolls could have been a lot better had we have kept an eye on the focus of the camera - halfway through, the dolls go off screen!

We have been given our final task of animating our own walks in CG and in 2D before the Christmas holidays begin. I will post these up as soon as I have them done!

Adios!
