A few bits and pieces

Well its been a while since I updated this so I shall cut the unnesessary spiel and show you a few bits and pieces...

This is my first attempt using Maya. It took about 2 hours of fustration before I had to go for a walk outside and massive coffee. After that I came back and after about an hour or so I came up with this. It's very basic but it gave me a feel for just how much work I am going to have to put in to actually be vaguely proficient at Maya.

This is my second attempt at using Maya. We were asked to animate two balls of differing weights. This took about two hours or so and I am slightly happier with it than my first attempt. I also experimented with the graph editor to make the bounce more realistic.

Finally here is another excercise we were asked to do. We were asked to animate this using the squash and stretch principals. I think this is OK, but I didn't realise how difficult it would be getting the proportions the same and having to take into account the secondary animation too.

I also tried my hand at pixellation, which was a lot of fun. I will post the final video up when I have finished editing it!

Ciao!
