These are really quick sketches done in the student bar. I was just trying to capture the movement as opposed to actual features. They aren't amazing but it's defiantly a lot better than the previous week's drawings! Here are a few from life drawing -
I also got hold of a DVD by Norman McLaren, who did a short pixellation film called "Neighbours". We watched it a few weeks ago with Derek, and I noticed there were a few Ballet pieces on it. Here is one that I thought was particularly fitting with the movement theme. It's not really animation as such but I love the way you can see the fluidity of movement through the dancers and as its slowed down enough, you can really pinpoint every move and where each limb is going. Also it looks beautiful!
Im still trying to sort my first attempt at pixellation out on the PC, but due to various updates on the computers with the OS and no knowledge of how to use Adobe Premiere, its still being done...
I have an idea for another pixellation short to this song. I know its from Juno, but I love how twee it is!
